The Cali-nia Superbike School, the -emost motorcycle racing school in the world, has come to Chennai. The school was started by the legendary Keith Code, arguably the best known and most successful on track motorcycle instructor in the world and today operates in 15 countries, and comes to South East Asia – the first time. The school is dedicated to the improvement of riding skills – racing or just street riding. It has the most successful and comprehensive instruction program – almost all of motorcycling sport, and proudly includes winners of Moto GP and Super Sport Championships.
A few of the champions produced from the school are World Superbike Champion James Toseland, MotoGP 125cc World Champion Thomaas Luthi (personally coached by Andy Ibbot, who will be present at the Chennai Camp), World MotoGP Champions Chris Vermuellen, John Kocinski and Wayne Rainey. Since it’s inception 1980, Cali-nia Superbike School is on four continents, fifteen countries operating at 90 tracks and has trained over 150,000 riders.
The school is brought to India and South East Asia by Preethi, India’s largest and most trusted brand of Mixer Grinders. Preethi is offering 24 riders a chance to be trained through a grueling 4-day camp which takes the participants through 4 levels of proficiency. Of the 24 riders, 16 riders are completely sponsored by Preethi. This is in keeping with its singular objective of providing valuable assistance to young, talented dedicated riders, who are unable to access the programs costing in excess of $5000 in the United States. The rest of the 8 vacancies cost Rs. 40,000/-each.
Red Rooster Racing, with it’s two years of International Racing experience, partners Preethi in this event by providing bikes, mechanics and tyres – the coaches from Cali-nia Superbike School. Red Rooster Racing is a unique company dedicated to promoting Indian talent in motor sports. The Toyota Q World was held in Mumbai which was a two day event at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex. The exhibit included an array of 11 vehicles including the Prius, Prado Diesel, Fortuner and Land Cruiser. With the Etios concept – ‘World First, India First’, the company is set to enter the mass volume segment. To ensure maximum accessibility to the customers, Toyota India will expand their sales/service network to about 150 dealers by the end of 2010. After Chandigarh, Lucknow and Mumbai, Toyota Q World will travel to 7 other cities namely Ahmedabad, Pune, Cochin, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The event will span over a period of 4 months.
After the grand success of the world premier of the Toyota Etios concept, at the recently held Delhi Auto Expo, Toyota’s quality and technology was brought to Mumbai. Customers eagerly awaiting the launch of Etios concept, got an opportunity, to see the vehicle, in their own city. The Delhi Auto Expo had customers coming to see the world premier of Etios concept and its latest technology, however the Toyota ‘Q’ World took this experience ‘to the customer’. The new super material called “graphene” is being developed by scientists from the U.S. and Sweden. Graphene used as an alternative material instead of conventional metal electrodes to make lighting component called light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC) that is better than LEDs or OLEDs (Organic LED technology).
The LEC transparent electrode made of the carbon material graphene. Graphene has many advantages compared with ordinary lighting component that used in LEDs or OLEDs because is a fully recyclable lighting component, its 100% recyclable. Graphene can be created from liquid solutions so that it can be printed. Because can be reprinted it will automatically cut production costs or much less expensive and more efficient than OLEDs when create en masse.
Graphene consists of a single layer of carbon atoms with the properties of a good electronic materials such as high conductivity, virtually transparent, and can be produced as a solution in the -m of graphene oxide.
Researchers says that graphene paves the way – cheap production of plastic-based lighting, perhaps – the first time. It could be used to create glowing wallpaper made out of plastic like LEDs/OLEDs but has several advantages. Even though we already know that LEDs is very efficient, long-lasting but it’s expensive to produce. In addition LEDs was made of transparent electrode consists of the metal alloy indium tin oxide that is rare and expensive material. Indium is also have a weakness that is complicated to recyclable.

The Hyundai Verna got a mild facelift in its home market last year and this year the company plans to give us the facelift in India. Dubbed the Verna Trans-m, the car received a number of technical enhancements along with heavily updated exterior and a few minor interior upgrades. The New Hyundai Verna Trans-m features a revised front fascia with more aggressive overall exterior look thanks to redesigned headlights, new signature grille with two bars, sportier front bumper, redesigned fog lights, larger air intakes, redesigned tail-lights, redesigned rear bumper. Inside, the new Verna Trans-m sports a revised center stack along with interior instrumentation lightning change from current green to blue. Engine specifications remain the same.
